Tripe Day Fundraiser - Hepburn 2026

On Saturday 25th Aug '26, a group of club members attended Hepburn House in Daylesford, where one of our long time members Jan Ross now lives, for a fundraising lunch including tripe and bread and butter pudding.

In 2019, Jan came up with a very unique idea to raise money for orphanages in Ambon, Indonesia which is an ongoing project of our club. Jan started hosting a “Tripe Night” with only eight people paying to attend, the night was an absolute winner. Members who didn't participate gave Jan a donation to not attend and have to eat tripe.

In the seven years Jan has been running the event over $6,000 has been raised which goes directly to supporting our various projects in Ambon, Indonesia.

This year, funds raised will be going to purchase food parcels for local orphanages. A big shout out to the chefs Mark & Clare Bennett who prepared all the food and Kay Macaulay who prepared the bread and butter pudding. Well done to all those who could stomach the tripe!
