What a great meeting we had on the 18th. The room was busy with 39 in attendance including special guests Dr Kathleen McGuire, DG Lesley Shedden and our recently arrived exchange student Harold Sap. We also welcomed 4 visitors into the meeting – thankyou to those members who invited guests along to join us.
Dr Kathleen McGuire gave a presentation detailing her international career in composing and conducting. She currently works for ACU in Melbourne where she manages all placement of student teachers across the organisation. Dr McGuire has a long association with Rotary credits herinvolvement in the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship program for opening up many of her career opportunities.
DG Lesley Shedden spoke of her ongoing efforts to start a Rotary Club focused around music and congratulated the club on our membership success and recent community service activities.
Many club members had the pleasure of meeting Harold Sap for the first time. Harold has made a great start to his youth exchange year and enjoyed his first week of school at Mt Clear College.
