On Wednesday 21 June 2023 we had the pleasure of hearing from Tess, a recent RYLA participant sponsored by our Club.

RYLA is the Rotary Youth Leadership Award camp for young people aged 18-25 who have leadership potential.

Tess said that while she was nervous about what lay ahead at the camp in April, the experience was life changing and she has made lifelong friends.

Not much is actually known about what happens at RYLA on the day to day, but we do know that it is an inspiring and challenging personal development and leadership program for young people 18 to 25 years.  It is facilitated by young professionals to help break down barriers the participants may have, build up their confidence and give them skills to process emotions and thrive in new and interesting ways. 

Most RYLA alumni wholeheartedly recommend the experience as Tess does.
