Rotary has been working across the world since 1988 to eradicate polio which has been 99.9% successful so far. Polio only remains in two countries and the countdown is on to eradicate polio in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Each year the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast makes a donation to End Polio Now and we are excited to be part of this life saving project.

At the Rotary District Conference in Mt Gambier recently our club was presented with a certificate of appreciation for our financial support to End Polio Now. President Geoff James presented the certificate at our club meeting on 20th March 2024 to Past President June Driscoll as the contribution was made during her presidential year.

Also at the meeting Rotary District 9780 Polio Plus Chair Gary Newton spoke to club members via Zoom about donating to the Polio Plus Society and was supported with video messages from Rotary International President Gordon McInally and past RI Board Director Jesse Harman.
