Strategic Plan Review

At our 18th March 2026 meeting, club President Elect Danny Driscoll spoke of the club's Strategic Plan for the next 5 years, which will be developed over three planning sessions and will remain a work in progress throughout that period. A review of the previous 5 year Strategic Plan (2021–2025) showed that the Club has largely achieved the expected benchmarks across its four key goals.

1. Increase Our Impact
It was agreed that RCWB has continued to strengthen its impact locally, nationally, and internationally. Our projects and partnerships reflect steady growth in the influence we bring to our communities.

2. Expand Our Reach
While we have made meaningful progress in expanding our reach, it was acknowledged that we can continue to broaden our cultural diversity and attract a younger demographic into the Club.

3. Enhance Member Engagement
Our Social Committee continues to excel in fostering member engagement. We also recognise that some members remain on the periphery, and additional support may help them feel more included. The PR Committee is to be commended for improvements to the website (Rod Unmack) and our social media presence (Phillip Lee). We have maintained a strong succession plan over the past four years and will continue to build on this foundation.

4. Increase Our Ability to Adapt
We have made significant gains in our social media presence and continue to welcome a steady flow of speakers from Rotary clubs both locally and internationally. Members are encouraged to make great use of My Rotary online, which offers excellent training opportunities, which members are encouraged to explore.

All members are invited to reflect on the impact, ideas, and opportunities they would like the Club to consider in the next Strategic Plan. You will be asked to bring your thoughts forward in the coming weeks.

Paul Harris Fellow
Regular tax deductible donations can also be made through the platform. As our recently awarded Paul Harris Fellow, Jennifer Doolan, highlighted, even small monthly contributions accumulate meaningfully and allow you to direct support to the areas you value most. Congratulations Jennifer.
