District 9780 held a Public Relations workshop in Ballarat on Saturday 28th August, 2010 for members across the district. Twelve members from a variety of clubs took part in the workshop which was facilitated by Rhonda Whitton.

Kay Macaulay represented the Rotary Club of Wendouree Breakfast.

Topics included:
• PR plans and strategies
• Tips on how the media tick
• How to get media coverage
• Social Networking (delivered by member, Jane Lynch)
• PR tools of trade, including media releases and kits
• How to write (and not write) media releases

It was an interactive day providing a wealth of information on how to get media coverage for events and functions.
