Words don’t describe how devastated all club members felt on 15th April 2025, when we learnt of the death of Rob McDougall. We all mourn his loss and wish to pass our deepest condolences to Past President Jane, Majella, James, Chris and all his family.

Over the next two weeks a group of us will travel to Ambon in Indonesia to continue the service work that has been Rob’s passion for so long. It will be an emotional honour for both the travellers and the Ambonese people that Rob has come to call friends over his many trips to that part of the world. I believe the travellers will treat the trip as our own form of pilgrimage, knowing just how much passion, commitment and connection Rob has achieved in Ambon.

At home in Ballarat there will be opportunity to remember Rob and celebrate his life on Thursday.
